My Garmin Watch

I ordered this fabulous running watch a few weeks ago, from Amazon, and I finally received it. It’s a Garmin, one of the main makers of GPSs, so basically, it will be able to follow and track my running. It maps out my run, tells me how fast I ran, how long I ran, and how far I ran. It even has a heart monitor. I’m sure it does a few other things but I’ll have to play with it and figure it out.

Look how pretty it is (for a sports watch)!

The name of the watch is Forerunner 110 and this is the women’s edition, obviously. It also comes in black and red or black and grey. But I prefer these colours. More feminine.
An awesome thing about about the watch is that I can connect it to my Garmin Online account and transfer all my information from my watch to my account. That way I can always look back and track my improvements.

From what I hear, you have to charge it quite a lot, compared to a normal watch but I think that’s normal since it uses enough power to work with the GPS. If you’re not working out and not using the GPS, the battery life is longer and obviously you can use it as a normal watch.

I’m very anxious to get started with it. Unfortunately, it has to be used outside. But I don’t want run outside. It’s cold and there’s too much snow. I might have to wait until it gets warmer to actually use it more. But it doesn’t mean I can’t wear it! I did test it out yesterday. It was pretty cold so I didn’t run far or very fast but I’m satisfied with what the watch can do. It will definitely help me with training for my first 5K.
